I went with 4.56's and couldnt be happier, but I have 37in tires.

The bigger tires will throwyour speed off, not the gears. I have a tuner and had already programmed it for the 37in tires, I didnt have to do a thing when I swapped gears.
so you mean that 33' tires on 4.56 will give the same power on 4.10? or what?
Not exactly. The larger the tires you have the harder the engine will have to work to spin those with the stock gears. Therefore you have to put lower gears in to take the stress off the engine, and restore performance and acceleration. The larger the tire, the lower the gear you will need.

Example:You have a truck with 30 in tires and 3.55 gears. Change the tires to 33in and it makes those gears feel like you have 3.08 gears. To keep theengine at the same RPM. Take that same truck and put 35in tires, it will make the 3.55 gears feel like 2.73's.

What I did on my truck wasused a gear calculator and found what RPM my truck was running with stock tires at 35, 55 and 70 mph. The I started plugging in different gear ratios (3.73, 4.10, 4.56) to see which one would give me close to the same RPM's at those speeds. that ended up being the 4.56's for me. You have 33 in tires so the 4.10's would probably work for you.

Hands down if your tire hight is 30" or taller you should consider 4.56's! If your tire hight is 33" or taller you should consider 4.88's!

Some simple math...
_________________________________________
STEP 1:
Find overall gear ratio-
OVER DRIVE GEAR x REAR GEAR = OVERALL GEAR RATIO (OGR)

STEP 2:
FIND YOUR RPMS at ANY SPEED-
SPEED x OGR x 336 / TIRE HIGHT = RPMs
_________________________________________

4.10 x .67= 2.74 overall gear ratio
60MPH x 2.74 OGR x 336 / 35" Tires = 1578rpm's
60MPH x 2.74 OGR x 336 / 37" Tires = 1492rpm's

4.56 x .67= 3.05 overall gear ratio
60MPH x 3.05 OGR x 336 / 35" Tires = 1756rpm's
60MPH x 3.05 OGR x 336 / 37" Tires = 1661rpm's

4.88 x .67= 3.26 overall gear ratio
60MPH x 3.26 OGR x 336 / 35" Tires = 1877rpm's
60MPH x 3.26 OGR x 336 / 37" Tires = 1776rpm's
