What a my dicks bigger than your dick thread. Dont get me wrong, I love my Dodge, but give it a rest. Its a truck. Id love to have a lifted, supercharged Titan too, or a 7.3 powerstroke. If you put your Dodge on a pedestole thats fine. Just dont think its the fastest and best built truck ever.

Any LS1 f-body will run similar numbers. Doenst matter if its a trans am, formula, firehawk, etc. They all have the same motor, just some minor bolt on differences. If the firehawk you drove felt slower than a trans am, then there was something wrong with it.ORIGINAL: kris2000

The slowest stock LS1's were trans am autos with 2.73 gears, and even thenthey would run mid 13's bonestock.Sorry to tell ya, but a hemi ram is nowhere near a few bolt on's away from giving anyLS1 F-body a run.
I traded an 02 WS6 trans am 6 speed for the truck I have now. On a good day it would run 13.2's completely stock. With just a good set of tires I ran a 13.05. Full exhaust, intake and tune I was running 12.8's all day long.

the reason the miata is the most raced car in the U.S. is because mazda has a legit ladder program for spec racers. from the mazda 6all the way up to the now former champ cars. my son races karts and a guy we race with owns 3 star mazda race teams. this summer my son will be making laps in a mazda 6 (pretty slow), then a miata (pretty slow but over 100mph)then the star mazda car (he's only 14) which has a top speed of 175 but will hit about 150 at our track.

they aren't popular because of how good they are or aren't, it's because of the factory support.
that being said, trucks are trucks. 15's aren't fast. 14's aren't fast. i had a 79 chevy 4x4 that ran 14.9s. so what. it was a truck. when i wanted to go fast i drove a car. when i wanted to haul something i drove my truck.
trucks weren't meant for this and to do it is only asking for trouble. they don't handle well at these speeds. you want to race, buy a car and go to the track. you'll have more fun and be safer. you'll be glad you did. its a blast.
