Off Road in you Ram
I go usually when it rains here and it's been raining A LOT! Anywho, I go places where a 2WD would surely get stuck. I mainly go in pretty deep water and mud and I'm running on bald tires lol. Getting some all terrains this week to replace them. Then I'll be saving up for some 33's and rims.
You can still do some moderate wheelin in a 2wd. Rear Locker, aggressive tires and some added height and you should be ok. Just stay out of the mud. In desert racing 2WD's are the norm.

I usually don't go out specifically to offroad but every once in a while I willbut I really need the 4wd and extra clearance for when I go hunting and fishing - depending on where I am I may have to deal with mud, rocks, due to my wheelbase I can't go up alot of real steep stuff but I manage.
I went to the desert one time. 2 450f's in the bed going over whoops are fun and i mean about 3 ft deep whoops doin about 10 mph, to bad i have a knock in my front end now. That day i almost lost the bottom shock bolt so when i tightened it up the bushing crushed. I also bent the little retainers that hold the tailgate cables on. The bikes are flying around it was pretty fun. But the cool thing is that I was rollin in the desert on 20" flower wheels. oh yea. All i have is new shocks and cranked torsion bars.
I have done some accidental offroading in a snowy field/ditch once, minus the body damage it was a blast.[:@]
Once I get a little bigger tire and level it I am sure I will do a little more offroad fun. Minimum maintenance roads and the trails through the valleys around my job tend to get a little muddy, should be fun. The stock sized 265/70/17 Dueler Revos are ok but I think a Goodyear MT/R in a 315/70/17 will give me what I want.
