haha i was just playin about the old fart stuff. I have respect for anyone who rides. My grandpa (who got me into riding when i was 5) is still riding 71 YEARS OLD so u got some time. Im lookin at buying a 1996 yz250 to restore i think itd be a great project and a blast to ride at that!
I know you'r playing around I would do the same if I was still young as you are One thing I can tell you enjoy it while you can gettting older comes to fast.
Older 2 strokes are great but I a Honda fan Ride Red you cant go wrong Ok you can dont get a CR 250 between 1997 and 2001 the frames suck the handle sucks the frames are to stiff 2002 and newer they fixed them, I am a Honda Fan but I wont own one of those years my self.
So what's next for you'r truck full on prerunner supension full coil overs 3 link coil over rear supension like the class 8 trucks are running and full cage.
The list can go on and on I have a Buddy out here that has a Ford F-150 set up that way it's bad I wish I had his shop and money to have one my self It would be a blast to drive and have Putting gas in it would suck it has a full blow race motor that runs on race gas I know I pay $8.00 a gallon for my CR but it uses little gas his race truck has a 20+Gallon fuel cellthat gets 6 MPG big bucks to run that truck, He rides A CRF 450 a expro supercross racer use to own it.

How far are you willing to drive there's lot of bikes out here you you want one I can find you one I had My supension done at a shop out here front and rear revalved seals oil the works $200.00 1 week turn around I been very happy with my bike turned out sure bets Factory Conection they wanted about $1000.00+ if they had it there way they charge for every little thing I sure they have a good pruduct but once again I am not racing anymore or going full moto.
Untill 2003 Honda were know for there mid stroke harsnises this fixed it it dose not blow thought the strock like it use to if you had the supension set up just right for the mid strock. the power band is great but get it ported and a fatty pipe to pick up some more over rev it helps a lot.
As for YZ'S I rode them for years also good bikes But I lean towards Honda still unless I can come up with some extra cash I jump ship to Team Orange (KTM) the way I ride now a day OLD Fart club it would be perfect for me but for full moto I go ride red (CRF450).
Hang in there the more money comes with age more headachs ect like I said enjoy it while you can getting old and bills are comming you way one of these days, I have a great job but it took some time to get here trust me.
Don't laugh I remember when $9.00 bucks a hour was good money for a married man raising a family and gas was $0.30 a gallon not this $4.00 a gallon.
My last truck before this one I was speanding $110.00 a week just to get to work not including weekends Love the truck but it had to go $440.00 bucks a month was getting to be to much just so I could get to work and back Thats why I purchased this 3.7 I should of gotten the 4.7 same MPG better up on the HWY.
