I’m going to go talk to my Tint guy that did my back window and I’m leaning towards 35% or a LITTLE bit lighter. I want the uni-brow and the clear Ultra Violet stuff on the front windshield too, but like I said I need to see about getting my windshield repaired/replaced. Does anyone know how much they charge you to have chips in the window fixed?

i have 5% all around. Except my front wind shield. The wind shield should always be light if your gonna tint them or if not get a 5% strip

No tint on the front windows is legal in California.I have had two cars with the darkest tint on the the back windows and the lightest on the front with no hassels.
from the looks of it, you have a very nice lawn.

anyone that is curious, your back factory tint is at 20%. So if you want it to match go with that. And someone who said it was right, there is not tint that is legal on ur front windshield unless you do the strip at the top.

So here's my two cents...

I've had plenty of experience with dark tint and Ihave to be honest...I love the look (A LOT) but am completely over the functionality. Having 5% or darker is a major issue when it's dark, cloudy, rainy, snowy, etc. Be ready to crack your windows to see around turns and to look both ways at stop signs at night. Seeing headlights is no problem...it's seeing bikers, children, etc. that always worried me.

Like I said...dark tint looks rad, but it's not functional. With my new truck I chose to do 20% on the fronts to match all the way around.

I also chose to do 30% on the windshield...this is my first experience with tinting the windshield and I think 30% is perfect. I LOVE IT!

I very much like the tint that I have now...the only thing I would change is to do the rearwindow (the sliding one)darker! I know it wouldn't match the other windows, but I would really like the rear window (the sliding one)to be closer to 5%.

I know in Wyoming 28 is the darkest you can legally go on the fronts, no windshield of course. It's not dark enough for me, but around here cops will ticket you if they are very dark. I just got my new Sentra tinted all around, now that I know what it looks like, I'm going to get the front of my MC, even though it's an 8% difference, it shouldn't look too bad. I had my old 01 Celica tinted at 20 and got 2 warnings

Well, I finally got a new windshield a few weeks ago, so I gave my tint guy a call. I’m dropping the ram off on Monday for the front windows to be tinted 35% and I’m gonna get an eyebrow with 5%. He told me that most people do 35% on the front windows and that the back windows were 20%. And they said that they will take it off for free if I get caught and it's going to cost me $80 all together.
