Default window lock button

Well my window lock has a mind of its own so sometimes the other windows roll down and sometimes they don't. I know its the lock button too. I was thinking that I can bypass the lock by soldering the two wires that go to the switch together. Right now i can only roll down the windows with the drivers panel. Does any one have a opinion on this or know what colors the wires are. If not, im taking apart the switch and fininf out myself since its very fustrating.

bad idea... unless you have a wiring diagram.... the last i checked.... there more then 2 wires to goto the lock switch... Maybe it would be better to just get a new switch? unless your problem is elsewhere...

Yea I just took it apart, looked confusing becuase there are about 35 wires in there so i just said screw it and put it back together. Somehow the passengers switches work now with the lock on or off so IDK. I bet tomarow morning they wont work again. I would get a new switch but the dealer might sell it at an outragous price.

The lock switch is probably not available as a separate piece. I have this same issue -- how do you know it's the lock switch? I've assumed it's the entire driver's door switch module. I've seen a few of those on EBay, but didn't wanna spring for the c-note.

yea the lock is in the whole module with the other switches for windows and mirror adjusters. Thats why im thinking it will be a butt load of cash to replace. For now i just push the lock a thousand times until it works.
