What Do I do First?
I have an 05 QCSB 4.7 4x4 ram and was looking into advise about what to do next. Right now I am running all stock except for my 50series dual flowmaster exhaust. I am looking into CAI's and Header's and am not sure what I should do next. In may I was planning to put either an AEM brute force or a Volant Ram intake CAI on the truck, but now I am wondering if I should do that in december instead and do the headers and magnaflow free flow cats. So basically I am asking what should I do first? Headers + cats or a CAI?

they dont do crap, look at their dynos, the HP gain starts around 3k rpm and peaks around 4k rpm. yeah no gas savings there, who pushes their engine past 4500 much at all? i do, only occasionally though...
besides with todays computers even if you air filter is clogged you still get the right what is it 14.7:1 ratio...
i just put in a K&N drop in and thats all you need.....

I do remember seeing something somewhere that a dirty air filter and a clean one do not make a difference on new cars because of all the computer stuff in them....
I would still rather have a clean one though...

CAI is a very good mod when used with other mods such as a good flowing exhaust, headers, etc. A tuner really ties them in well. If you don't plan on at least a tuner & exhaust to work in concert with a CAI, then a high quality drop in would do you nearly as well.
Any performance tech I've ever talked to would not recommend going to headers without a CAI already in place...

its a 4.7 theres nothing out there thats worth a damn in the tuner market, the day the hemi came into the trucks was the day they stopped making anything for the 4.7...
not saying you need to ride with a dirty filter, i have a k&n drop in, just wanted to show you that you dont need more air and its not that much colder.
hammer dont forget you get that lil extra noise with a CAI...
