Bump while stopped??
Well, if it's going to do it, let's get it out of the way! After all, at three weeks old with only 1600 miles on it, they ought to have a hard time avoiding the warranty!
well, with the amount of miles you have on it already, youll be out of warranty before you know it. id take it to the dealer. tell them whats going on. if the problem persists, demand a new one. a new truck that is. we had a problem with a sensor in our truck. took it in 3 times for it. my mom said fix it now or you give us a new one. if the light pops back up, new truck better be sitting here when we come. and our truck was about 7 months young.light didnt show upsince.my mom doesnt mess around like that with big money. you shoulda consulted the dealer firstand then just let us know whats going on. but hey, your truck, your money. hope it works out for ya!!
We're supposed to have the lifetime drivetrain warranty. Since the transmission is part of the drivetrain, I assume it will be covered for however long I own the truck. At least that's what I understood when I bought it! I figure I'll have to keep my eyes open for some fine print that might allow them out of the warranty.
Mine does it also...it's a idle issue. The "bump" is the idle dropping too low and then shooting up to around 600rpms. I haven't found or heard of a fix yet but i'm thinking it's all in the tune.
As soon as I get finished unpacking from the move I will take it to the dealer. The 4k miles was for the move. I will probably only put about 500 or so a month on the odo from now on. Since I have the lifetime powertrain warranty it should cover the tranny forever.(I hope). I also added a5 year50k milebumper to bumper warranty to kick in after the 3/36 ends. The truck doesn't surge forward, it just feels like someone nudged you with their bumper. The first couple of times it freaks you out and you spin around in your seat ready to kill the yahoo that bumped you only to see no one behind you or well behind you.
