Bump while stopped??
I bought my 08 Ram Hemi new 3 weeks ago. The last several days I have been noticing a bump while stopped. Many times while I was stoppedat a light or intersection, my truck bumps forwardlike a car behind me bumped me. At first I thought it was just me but my wife asked me if we got bumped. I used to own a Charger and many owners complained of this problem although I never experienced it with my car. Has anyone noticed this and what could the cause be? It usually happens 10-15 seconds after I come to a complete stop.
Thanks for the help!

Relax its just that hemi power waiting to unleash. Just push down harder on the gas pedal so the truck doesn't take off. lol I have had three hemis and none of them did what your talking about. I have a couple of ctd's and they have never done it either. Its brand new also, maybe give it time to break in.
I wish it was the Hemi trying to break loose..
I would'nt exactly call it new anymore, I have put 4300 miles on her in the last 3 weeks...

Shifting hard into first after you have stopped is the leading rumor on another forum as to why you get the bump. I am going to take it to the dealer if it keeps up. As for driving that many miles, that is what happens when you buy the truck in the very northwest corner of Washington state and 3 days later drive it to southern Maryland....lol
My '08 does the same thing, but only going into reverse, and only about once a day. When I shift into reverse, it will jump slightly a second or two later like it just finally dropped into gear, but harder than it should.

I would be taking it to the dealer now. Do you notice an engine surge when it does this??? If you're at a dead stop, at a light or stop sign or whatever, and it just leaps forward without you wanting it to, this is a safety issue that needs to be addressed. My truck does not do it, nor would I tolerate it doing something like that. Take it to the dealer and get it fixed...
Just my opinion of course...
