Just picked up an '08 QC 4wd 4.7 6spd, and have some questions that I couldn't find by searching the archives:

1. What transmission do I have? Is it a Getrag or NV?

2. Is there any way (with the standard radio/cd) to display artist or title info while listening to SIRIUS?

3. Does anyone make a Class IV hitch for our trucks?

4. What would be included in the "towing package" for a truck w/manual tranny other than the hitch & wiring?

5. What is the towing capacity for a 4.7L 6spd with 3.55 gears?

Transmission - Getrag
Class IV hitch is available from Dodge but you can get them many other places
Towing package also includes 3.92 gear and LSD
Dodge website says towing capacity is 5150 lbs with the 3.92 Yours would be a little less.
Don't know about the radio.

 

radio - hit 'info' thats the only button that would do it. if you dont have it, then youre out of luck. should be on the top row of buttons right next to the eject button.

 

i called dodge and sirius, short answer is yes if you have the 6 cd stereo no if you have the single disk.hope you have the six, mines single

 

you sure, my 06 says 7000 with 17" wheels and 6,000 with 20's


this is for a 4.7 with a 3.92

 

I went to Dodge website and clicked on towing and payload option. It shows results for '08. I'm pretty sure I put in all of his options. The automatics are rated higher for towing.

 

Thanks guys. Looks like I'm stuck with no display for satellite radio...have the standard single-disc player.

 

Heres one on Ebay. The buy it now is 100.00, but it has a make offer also. It is a 6 disc changer.

Guy says it's a 6-disc, but the picture shows a single-CD player. Doesn't it sazy "single CD"right above the preset buttons? Either way, it's a good idea. I'm sure there are tons of these things for sale...

 

I have the "Tow Package" and mine came with 3:73's. Is that because it's a MC?
