Yeah, I feel like I came out about where I was, if that makes sense. My payment didn't increase much at all, and my rate lowered almost 2 percent. So I am ok with it.

I am loving the truck, too.

 

I just bought a black '08 Quad cab1500 Laramie loaded on Sunday for $13,000 (including a $2,000 Dodge owner rebate) below MSRP. I didn't and I should have haggled some more, but oh well. It's my wife's truck anyways. Now she can stop driving my Charger!!!

Regarding the airbag off switch. I think the passenger seat has a sensor in it. My 07 SLT doesn't have a switch. My buddies 06 Reg cab has the switch, he has the base model.

I have the airbag switch in my '06 SLT. I guess the new trucks sense a certain amount of weight and turn it on or off. And correct me if I am wrong but I don't think quad cabs have a switch only reg. cab.

 

You are correct. The reg cab is the only one where you can turn it off. It says it in the owners manual. Reason is car seats, and small children. You have no back seat to mount it or for the children to sit, so the airbag turns off so in case of a crash, the air bag does not impact the car seat or children. Airbags are dangerous.

 

That's my question. I have a regular cab.
Maybe it has sensors? Even the Owner's Manual says 2500/3500 only for '08.

 

^^^ It should have a switch then, like Az2500 said...it's dangerous not to. A baby doesn't weigh enough to trigger any sensor in the seat.

 

I have the Off/On Airbag switch on my 07 2500 SLT.

 

My passenger seat determines the weight and turns on/off the airbag according the programed data.
