hmmm, you don't sound the least bit concerned that a bolt fell off your truck. Is this a common thing and I should be looking for it?

no.....bolts arent suppose to rattle off haha. i thought about that too, however im just glad its a bolt and not something majorly wrong inside the engine. so thats why im happy more than concerned about the bolt. ill be sure to go through and tighten it all up.

at work today i went out and looked at the problem in more detail and a co-worker said its not missing a nut...its a bolt that goes into the manifold....and the reson why i thought it was a stud that needed a nut was because the damn thing broke! thank god the stud didnt break inside the manifold....atleast i can take some pliers and take it out..... so now instead of bolting it back down...i have to remove the wheel well, take off my headers and take out the bolt, then go to dodge to buy a new one....****!

hell ya i was! hahaha. i was freaking out.....a damn loud *** tick coming from the engine...wtf. asked some guys and told me to check the oil and i just did my oil change. sounded a lot louder on the driver side which lead me to believe the exhaust. sure enough i look and thats the problem. sure its gonna be a huge pain in the *** to get that broken bolt out...but hey its better than having to sell the truck with a blown motor....wel it probally wouldnt have been that bad...but some major repairs on it. i can deal with the pain in the *** of a job tomorrow to put in a new bolt rather than major work haha.

I posted my on thread and I had a tick that also wasnt the hemi tick. Changed the egr and it went away I think the hemi is prone to egr failure. Try takin it off and spraying wd-40 in the needle see if it moves with a flat head screwdriver. It is worth a try.imo

ya man, but its definatly the manifold, thanks though ill check it just to be safe. the bolt is broken and i was actually able to unscrew it with my hand. the top one is broken too and i may need to use pliers for that one though. and plus you can see the black where that one cylender is. its definatly the exhaust manifold bolt. i know my problem now i just have to fix it.
