hey guys, drive an 06 1500 laramie, looking to add a dodge ram viper hood, have cai, magnaflow exhaust, just wondering if anyone has found it to have any added performance benefits other than the cool new look. Thanks

 

Been thinking of that myself, just for the ultra-cool look.....

 

i live out in canada and we get a lot of snow, in fact were sitting on about a foot of snow right now, but i don't know how the cold weather would affect my truck with the hood scoop

 

I'm making my hood scoop functional this summer. you can buy a kit with all the stuff you need.

 

IMO i dont think the gains would be worth the downside...a bit of extra air pumped into the engine compartment VS all the rain, dirt and various other airbourne trash.
If extra air is your goal, why not check this out?
