dumb question. I have a 2004 ram 1500 3.7l v6. I noticed a box between the airfilter and what looks like the throttle body (sp?). The box has the magnum 3.7l stamped on it and is sealed but the owners manual doesnt say what it does. So, my questions is, what does that box do?

it is an air baffle for the intake AKA resrtiction city.

 

also helps in noise cancelation for a quieter ride.

if you like hearing the engine, yank it out
