transmission fluid check
too bad theyll all still ask you for the engine size when you're looking for wiper blades. Lmao!!
Theyll also swear that platinum plugs are better and that they don't even list a copper option. Pretty bad when their cross ref prog doesn't have oem plugs. They have em just got to give them the part #

as for using rtv, nothing wrong with it, except a guy in second gen couldn't get his tranny pan off for the life of him. I told him a trick and it worked, but gaskets make it much easier to break off the plate. Also you don't have to sit there with a scraper and brake cleaner.
yea must of took me 4 hrs to do the job. Such a pain in theass to scrape that RTV off the pan. I should of just waited, it said do ur transmission at 100k and I only have 70k on my truck.
Thanks Alex. But the truck still here. Any idea about the note from Stunnerguy "I just changed my transmission fluid in my 03 dodge ram 1500. The dipstick has the level for when it hot and when its cold. when the vehicle is cold its in the hot range and when it hot its in the cold range. I just brought the truck and I'm freaking clueless on wut to do. I've never had this problem before."
I could not see any directed respond to the problem any where from the Internet.

Check the ATF as detailed in post #2, however, check while in NEUTRAL, not park. You're doing this at operating temp, so after driving, pull in somewhere flat. Don't worry about anything else, like cold level, etc.
