Creative Exhaust for broke people
I thought I'd share my exhaust setup becuase it only cost me $100 and I thought it was pretty creative.
I bought a Flowmaster Super 44 3" in, dual 2.5" out, a universal hanger and a 3" clamp from Summit for $100 shipped to my door.
Heres were it gets creative: I cut up the stock tail pipe and used the hump that goes over the axle to make 45 degree turndowns. I used a miter saw and a prep tool to finish them up. They aren't perfect, but they look good and were free. I welded them myself (also not very pretty) right to the back of the muffler and then dropped the muffler on the turndowns to make sure they weren't coming off. I welded the hanger to the muffler and bolted it to an existing hole in one of the bed crossmembers and clamped the muffler on where the stock muffler came off.
To further offset costs you could take your stock muffler, resonator, and remaining tail pipe to the scrap yard. I think they're stainless steel and last time I checked, they pay about .70 cents a pound for stainless!!!!!!!!!!!!!

RE: Creative Exhaust for broke people
yeah I never took mine to the scrap yard either, mostly becuase I was too lazy at the time. I'm not sure if its stainless or not, but I think it is.
I'll try to post some pics, its raining right now and I don't feel like laying on my back on wet concrete.
