I'm trying to run power from the battery to the inside of my truck but I only want it hot when I have the key on. So far I have successfully run the wire inside with adding a inlinefuse to the bottom center console which is were I want it and have attached it to the power distribution block. Any help on making it so that it will only come on when the truck is. BTW it's not for an amp it's just so that I can add a few 12volt plugs and hard wire two things. I think that I need to add a relay but have no clue on how to do such.

Just tie into the lighter circuit. Reasonable current capacity and it's key switched. Make sure you fuse each gadget independently.
