Default Super Chips?

05 RAM 1500 HEMI Big Horn

Could I get some advice about Super Chips? Are they worth the money? Which are the perfered brands? Any warranty issues?

Most importantly, how many MPG might I be saving - especially when towing (I get about 9MPG now when towing). Thanks!

I would say that they are worth the money. As far as towing I am not sure since I do not tow. My milage did go up about 1 mpg, but the biggest difference was how the truck drove after installing the SC. It runs a lot stronger and shifts nicer. Will it effect the warranty? Simply put.... YES it will. You can remove the program before you take it in for any service but if the dealer looks hard enough they can tell that you have a programmer installed.

For my 08 all it does is fix my speedo, sure I can adjust my top speed and when it shifts (rpms) but so far anyway not worth $400

I've had mine on about 4 months. Works great and I love it. I will be playing around with the settings more, now that the winter gas is gone. Mileage went up (more kms per tank) but have not actually filled it up. Alot more fun to drive. Worth the money I paid ($200 on ebay from a guy who happened to be local.)
