Default Bullbar or not?

I have always liked the look of a bullbar on a truck, and I would like to get one for my truck. The thing is, just about everyone I know says that a bullbar only look's good on a 4x4, and would not look right on my truck. What do you guys think?

I'm not too familiar with the 4x2 height but if it's not much lower than a 4x4 I say do it. The only way a bull bar would look funny is maybe on a lowered truck. I went with the aries and love it!

from the side pic i see of your truck it doesnt look too low to me. mines a 2wd, but its lifted and sits a lot higher than 4x4's

ive always heard that as well about not putting a bull bar on a 2wd truck... when i put my bull bar on, my buddy really liked it, even said if his truck wasnt 2wd he'd put one on..

i can see what you mean...ive seen some low trucks with bull bars and it looks stupid, but from your pictures your truck doesnt look all that low.

but one word of advice for the 2wd people, it will lower your front clearance, i go over a lot of crap just screwing around, already lost my front tag, ive noticed a diff with my bull bar in scraping it when going over those concrete medians head on, have to take it at an angle.

depends where you mount it. i see a lot where the bottom of the bullbar tubes go under the truck, as shown in the pic from 04hemi04. however mine meets right at the lower valence and i loose no ground clearance. i suppose it covers the grill a little bit butn who cares. ill try to take a closer pic later.

yeah yours goes up rather quickly, any bull bar will hinder your vertical clearance, basically even if its not lower than your truck its farther out from the tires, like when you have to take a hill at an angle, thats why hummers have such a good head on incline rating because their tires are so close to the front... my BB cuts into my valance as well, but has made my clearance slightly lower.

Thanks for the help guys! I think it would look good on it my self. My truck is not lowered. I work with a guy that has a 4x4, and his truck, and mine set about the same. I think it will be ok, don't you?
