Dodge/Chrysler does NOT use lowest-bidder oil filters. They used to use Champion, which were marginal, but that was many years ago. They have used Purolator for about the last 10 years and have a long-term contract with them to be the exclusive oil filter supplier for Mopar. Purolator is one of the best filters available anywhere and that is what you get when you use a Mopar filter. As for Mopar oil, it is supplied by Mobil, except for their diesel oil, which is Valvoline for the 5.9 and Mobil for the VM and Mercedes. They just put Mopar labels on it.
