I am racing a 2006 duramax diesel tomorrow at a 1/8 mile track. The duramax has a 6" lift w/ 35 inch tires and a BullyDog Powerpup chip. (120 hp max)

My truck has true duals, no mufflers, a Jet chip, and a AirAid CAI.

My best time in the 1/8th is 9.56.

How bad will I beat the duramax?

 

You wont, you will get your *** handed to you, unless there is a five year old driving the D max. Btw, why is your screen name 410HP hemi?

as much as everyone here may dislike fords it is going to wipe the floor with you.

 

Um, hate to break it to ya, but Duramax is Chevy, Powerstroke is Ford...

 

you may have a chance if he has to start from idle, maybe. otherwise you will get a good look at his tailgate.

 

even with those 35" wheels. . . it'll be close but I doubt you'll be able to best him. I say the d-max by no more than 1.5 lengths

 

If he spools up his turbo and launches that thing in 4wd, I would have to say at least 3 truck lengths drew... Not to sound like a pessimist, however.

 

haha, well, last year at the races here in san diego, there was a white chevy duramax. a 2005. he beat EVERY SINGLE CAR AND TRUCK that he raced. and he had the best time that night too.im not sure about his time compared to other cars/trucks from before because i didnt look it up. there was a 5.0 that was a truck length in front of him (the chevy was a quad cab long bed that also has a 6" and 35s) and the chevy all of a sudden just ripped by him and beat him by 3 truck lengths. good luck man!!
