Default Cold Air Intake , which is the best?

Hey there,

I'm currently in Iraq, retuning home soon from a extended tour there, and would like to but a cold air intake for my 05 Hemi, but the more I look around, the more I get confused. Which of the ones offerd is the best?

Does anyone have acctual experience with these things? Volant, Airraid, K&N all sound good, but which one is really the best one?

Thanks for your help.

mike

i don't like the design of the volant...brings up air from down low where the fog light should be...then again, that's cleaner, cooler air...unlike what's under the hood....just be careful going through any "gunk" that may clog it. as far as all the others...just go w/ whatever is cheapest, they're all about the same, no sense in paying more for a name.

I currently have an Air Raid on my 04 Ram 4.7 V8 Quad Cab. It boosted my Gas Milage up by about 2 and it makes a very nice sound when I punch the throttle

you sit around long enough in that heat...no babes....no sex...no booze...wearing the same sox for 4 days. your buddy needs head so you give it to him...it's not about love...you don't have to cuddle afterwards...it's just head.

or...you find the guy everyone hates and **** in his boots.

I have the volant, it mainly only sucks air from teh fog light hole if you have the kit for it to do so, since i have factory fog lights it pulls air from where almost everyone else does, I do have to say that the intake sounds incredible, the filter opening is a good 6 or 7" with a completely smooth bore for the air to travel unrestricted
