IAT sensor facing the right way? The air must flow through it, not around it.

unhook negative terminal on battery for a few. it'll prolly fix it. i had my light come on when i threw in new plugs...probably cause my engine/computer was tamed for whatever it was getting before, and was thrown off by the new plugs. anyways, hook battery back on after a few minutes, it shouldn't come back on.
I'll try that. I of course skipped the first step telling me to unhook the battery...kinda hard to listed to the radio that way!

That fixed it, thanks!

Man the K&N is sweet! make the truck sound way cool, and is much more responsive. I can definately see why people would get worse mileage with it!

what is an iat sensor? i installed an intake on my 2002 ram w/ a 4.7 and i didnt disconnect any wire from the stock air intake and didnt put a wire in my new cai tube....do i have an iat sensor and where the f*ck is it?

i dont believe the 02 has that sensor. its either 03 and later or 04

i just read somewhere that the 02 doe have it but its located on the intake manifold... i wonder if i could relocate it to the intake tube?

A filter shouldn't throw a code...i've never even heard of that happening. If it does it again hook up a scanner so you can see what's going on.
