Default K&N install, Check Engine light on

I just installed a K&N FIPK on my 2004 4.7 and now the engine light is on. Is this normal? Is there anything I should check? do I need to take it somewhere and have it checked/turned off?

Thanks!

It might be in there good, but is it damaged? It is very fragile.

Fragile, huh? [sm=smiley24.gif]

I wasn't too rough with it, I don't think.

I forgot all about mine when installing the volant and ripped it clear out of the factory tube, it's still working for me....

unhook negative terminal on battery for a few. it'll prolly fix it. i had my light come on when i threw in new plugs...probably cause my engine/computer was tamed for whatever it was getting before, and was thrown off by the new plugs. anyways, hook battery back on after a few minutes, it shouldn't come back on.
