The computer needed for the fog lights is new to me. I would think you would wire them up with a separate switch inside the cab and be done with it. If you already have it installed, run a power wire to the cab and a switch. Cost you all of $10 for the parts. Turn them on.off as you please.

Damg, $85.00 is steep. If you were in Georgia, I would do it for you for free. It only takes a few minutes. I would try to get one of the Techs to do it on the side and slide him $20.00.

I feel your pain. I did exactly the same thing. Got OEM lights installed and had to drop $80+ at the dealer for somebody to spend 10 seconds with a starscan (or whatever) to enable the fog lamp switch.

At least the price is consistent...

It takes like 30 seconds. But those Starscans are steep in price and they have to pay for them somehow.

Call around, maybe you will find a cheaper price.

Call around to other dealers, I read a post a while back (can't remember if it was here or another forum) where the dealer who sold the guy the truck wanted to charge him $75 or $80 and he called a dealer in the next town over (who didn't know him from Adam) and they gave him a price of $45...
