Default home made lift kit


my buddy has a 2004 hemi ram 1500, single cab, he wants to lift it but money is really tight right now (seems like the case with most people right now) i am a pretty good welder, i was curious if anyone has made a home made lift kit, he doesnt really offroad much he just wants his truck to stand taller. please let me know if u have any info on it, thanks

Whoa! man don't get ahead of yourself there.......a homemade lift kit(in my opinion)is a bad idea unless your a professional fabracater.the reason being is that they have had years of designing lift kits for truck and you (no offense) probably don't.i'm sure your a great welder,but have you gotten into anything like this before?.i have done the whole home made lift kit for lots of trucks(back in my younger days) but i had help from a friend of mine thats worked for pro comps research and development department for years.and i'll tell you what,there is a lot more to it than you'd think there is

you have to start somewhere! If you are confident in your skills, then give it a shot! Is it a 4x2 or 4x4?
