Default How can my 4.7 be better?

Hey guys, I am now the lucky owner of a stock 4.7L 05' QC with only 4000 miles on it! Although it won't compare to a 5.7hemi...What are some ways or things I should/can do to my truck to increase its Hp and/or Torque (MAKE IT FASTER!!!) Some things I've heard: performance airfilter (obviously), chip, duel exaust? I've even heard a suggestion of a small supercharger...I'm not really looking to make my RAM a racer, I'm just looking to add to a lil more fun from stoplight to stoplight Any help or advice would be great!

That would be smart! Then you would get about 9 mpg.

I say get a CAI (K&N or AirAid) and a programmer!

I have 4.56 in mine and am getting 12 - 12.5 mpg. Now that is around town, a lot of stop and go. Haven't had it on the highway yet, to see what it would get there.

It'll be a thirsty boy at sixty or more. My QC Hemi gets a bit under 13 in town, 15+ on my commute and nearly 18 at 80 mph on the interstate. 4.56s will surely make it jump, but at a price. For some reason, there aren't as many performance mods for the 4.7? Seems strange to me. It's a nice engine with good potential (I think). Is there a chip for the 4.7s that actually works? In addition to the intake and duals, an e-fan will help some. Don't expect earth-shattering improvements though. It's all cumulative and not nearly what the manufacturers want you to believe.

I know there are JET chips, stage 1 and 2.

I got the '03 4.7... put a jet stage 1, K&N cold air kit on it, but, didn't see big change 'till i put the flowmaster 50 one into two duel exhaust on it. Throttle response was big improvemant. friend told me to try pulse star plugs... haven't ventured that far yet.

I just did the same as Raptor put the 50 series Flowmaster, and it sounds sick.
