To Those With eBay CAI's **Pics of New**
*A buddy of mine wanted to check out my CAI last night, I was doing something at the time, so I just told him to go pop the hood and check it out. Well, he yelled over to me, that's cool, but where's the air filter. I told him behind the passenger headlight. Well, it was behind the passenger headlight, after he again persisted he couldn't find the air filter I went over to the truck to show him, and I'll be damned, but the air filter was GONE!!! The good thing is that I changed my oil a couple of days ago, and I hope I would have noticed that, so I don't think the filter has been off long. Just make sure you guys keep an eye out on yours!!!
lol. i noticed the smaller face of my cone filter (the part that points down), has some rust on it. not cool. so, i went ahead and replaced it with a k&n cone.
no rattling sound for me. i mean, there is two rubber joint/sleeves...there should be no reason for it to rattle cause those rubber things will absorb everything. it would rattle if it's against something though.
does yours go straight to the throttle body or to the hat? i forgot what yours looks like.

I don't have a rattle from my metal tubed K&N series 77. But the metal tube DOES really echo the sound of the EGR valve opening & closing.Sounds a lot like an exhaust leak, and it's a lot louder than CAI's that utilize a plastic tube...
