Looking at options to increase the ol mpg abit.I have an 02 1500 3.7 bought new in 02.Have 107 + on it and not getting the 19 I used to get.It has original plug wires and 30,000+/- on the plugs.In addition to new wires/plugs was wondering about those inexpensive cat's on ebay,(25 to 50 range),also a throttle body spacer if it would help.I really like the truck as its a 5speed and all rubber floors inside(easy to clean)as I work outside most of the time.I'm just wondering how far to go w/upgrades as I'm on original shocks which probably should be upgraded as well.Thinking about wheather to trade or not this fall.Is it possible to get 23/24 mpg out of a truck like this?
