Default Power Steering only working when giving gas

Hey guys, My problem starting with whenever i would turn the wheel sharp the power steering would make this whining sound, but it worked fine. And now just a few days ago my power steering doesnt work very well if im not giving it gas. Its like it needs me to have a certain rpm level before the power steering will work. Any ideas? Its it something with the release valve or can it be bled? mabey air in there? I filled up the resevoir, so its good on fluid

Sounds like its time for a new pump.

I pulled the level stick on mine yesterday while I was changing the oil. Found a lot of real fine black particles on the stick. I'm going to be flushing and re-filling mine shortly.

Makes me wonder what the composition of the gears are. I haven't had any problems, but also don't want any either

I suggest you replace the pump very soon--as either your pump is going dead.

Does anybody know if a pressure regulator/ reliefis used in these??????
