yes, if you don't care about the emissions and just want to get rid of the rattle without getting new cats, just gut the damn thing. Be aware though that there is always the posibility of getting some resonance or drone by messing with your exhaust in an untested way.

The RIGHT WAY would be to replace the cats, there are some really nice aftermarket high flow ones out there that are not a lot of money. However, there is nothing wrong with cutting them out and re-piping or even just gutting it for that matter. Just understand that you may have to deal with CEL's, unwanted resonance, etc. But as discussed earlier, there are ways to deal with those issues..

if the engine light comes up im throwing the non foulers in. now with the non fouler trick....it goes in the one after the cat right? not before (on the cat as i showed in pics)? and how do i know what size non-fouler i need?

Goes on the rear one.I think the 18mm is the right one, but you can always have the guy at the auto parts store take a new O2 sensor out of the box to match it up, that's what I did when I helped my buddy do it on his Chevy truck...

i work at an autoparts store. and i have an extra o2 sensor to my truck....how do i find out that size hole i need? i have to go somewhere else though because my store only has 14mm non foulers
