pics needed of lifted ram with factory twenty's and bigger tires
What did it cost to install the body lift? I am really thinking about doing this to my Ram because I am getting new wheels and tires for it. I already have the Rancho quick lift struts on it.
Wow, don't I feel a little inadequate. Not sure what's up with that. I know I sit higher than most trucks when you do a visual measurement of the mirrors. There are 3 other Rams in my parking lot at work. An 03 stock 2wd Hemi ( I'm a LOT higher than his), an 06 Dually ( I'm a couple of inches higher) and an 08 that I tower over by at least 5". There is one other that isn't even close to mine but I don't know the year or stats of it. All of these measurements I am taking are from eyeing up the mirror height when sitting next to each other.
Maybe my tape measure was broken???

I did my body lift myself and saved 6-8 hours of shop labor rates. Even at BEST the shop would get it done in no less than 6 hours at a rate of 65/hr so that is $390. Ask Hammer for a link to the lifting write up, I put a post in there with all the helpful hints I could have used when doing my lift. Experience is worth so much so learn from mine. You can always search for it.

i am going to measure my truck tonight when i get home. are you guys measuring from the ground to the center of the wheel well? I can tell you that my truck is much bigger in person than the pics show. I will get those measurements later and post
scott, i dont think your tape measure is broken haha. right now with 30.5" tires im slightly over 43" up front and an even 44" in the rear. add 2.25" of tire lift.... you can do the math.
hemi07, do make sure to measure. ya its from the ground to the center of the wheel well. not inside by the lip of the metal. you can see in scotts pics where he measured..thats exactly how i did it.

Well that still means that if you're sitting 43 in the front right now...that you'd be sitting 45" high with 35" tires. Now I know it's only 2" but hey I'm a guy and 2" makes a big deal. Why is mine lower than others?
I'm going to start a thread tomorrow asking how high their trucks sit and maybe post a pic of the ruler on the front and rear fender wells along with the heigh of the bottom of the front driver window. THEN we asked why mine is lower...

scott, 2" really doesnt sound like a lot....but after seeing what my leveling kit did....i am a FIRM believer that every 1/2" counts! haha. now the only reason why my rear is higher is because i threw a 1" block in the rear to make it level, because the leveling kit made it too high up front, but that still doesnt explain why my front end sits as high as yours with the same set up and i have a 2wd with small *** tires.
I remember in another thread you having to add an inch to the rear. that could be some of our similarities. you're leveling kit may have added 3" while mine only added 2". Then the rear was lifted on urs so that would make it higher as well.
I have 35"x12.5x20.
Does anyone know if the suspension IS any different from a 2wd to a 4wd ??

Just got home and measure my truck. I am 44" in the front and 45" in the rear. I measured the same way as scott06hemi. I know Romeo has overload shocks in the rear that he said lifted his truck another inch and he also is running 36's...
