Default I remember a thread about a ram wave

and well i came from a jeep wrangler so the wave thing to me is very familiar. but i don't believe it fits the truck crowd.

I myself feel that the truck crowd is somewhat of the manlier and tougher crowd. or for the women that drive them which is awesome they are just BAMF (bad *** motha fers). I don't feel that the wave is appropriate. just feels a bit childish. honestly i felt like some idiot when i'd be like "hey theres a jeep wave deedeedeee". but here's is a trend taht I think works great for truck drivers. I would say almost every time I see a ram driver that either turns near me or something we always end up giving the "nod" to each other. I'm sure most people here will understand what the "nod" is. It is a way for us peopel that know we have made the better choice in automobile and we recognize that we are both of superior manliness or BAMFness for the ladies. and that nod is a way to both connect on a level of saying "nice truck man" without words. Like I pulled up beside a ram the other day he was in turn i was in straight stopped at red. we both looked over and both nodded and then went about our business. acknowledging that we are the alpha males in this territory.

and for those gentleman that drive inferior vehicles such as a ford chevy or import truck. they will give a nod as well. but there nod has different implications. there nod indicates submissive behavior. more of a " I see you drive a superior vehicle and that when i bought mine I was mistaken for choosing this" which also indicates "please don't embarass me with the pure power of the vehicle you sit in O mighty one" which we will reply with a nod with a smile which indicates that we acknowledge your submissiveness and will not further embarass you than what you do to yourself as you drive that.

So in conclusion I make the motion to ratify the truck nod and make it a part of the "truck constitution"

As a trucker and a biker, i experience the "nod" on several playing fields. I second the motion on the floor.

Could I offer a friendly amendment to the motion. I too came from a Jeep (6" Lifted Rubicon, tom Woods driveshaft,Intake, Exhaust, winch, tube bumpers, 38s, etc etc etc) & remember the "Jeep Wave". The orignal post here makes a lot of sense as does the motion on the floor. However, I prefere the "point" to the "nod" (Index finger to other trucker while on the wheel). In fact I got a pont (Ram Point? Index finger and pinky - kinda like 'Horns') from someone the other day... just a thought. Definitely no wave (as per original post). Grab Life.

Since we repesent about 1% of Ram owners, if we start waving, pointing, whatever what will happen is the other person, most likely a guy, will think you are interested....

I never noticed any wave, but then again I don't make eye contact with people.... I hate people. I try to avoid them at all costs. I'd have made a good 19th century hermit. Maybe I'll start looking for it now.
