damn justntex, just giving hima hard time, and this is very true about no post = library. and ya, anyone thats on here frequtnyl sees the same questions go by....i mean how many questions are there before you run out? i have a 3" body lift and a leveling kit and a 1" block for the leafs....rides fine (well if my truck didnt have certain problems) a body lift is just gonna raise your body..leavig the frame at stock height. only thing that i dont like about is all the little things ive seen on my truck such as having brackets to lower the fan shroud and litttle things here and there. on my next truck, if im not sure on money, suspension will be put on it....actually for the amount of lift im looking for, ill probally have a suspension lift and a body lift.
a leveling kit is very nice though. raise up the front end, and looks great. feels like your in a whole new truck, 2" or 2.5" may not sound like a lot, but youd be very surprised! now if you do go with a leveling kit, be sure to get an alignment and you may want to consider longer shocks. and if you get a body kit, make sure it has all the relocation brackets for your bumpers and all that stuff or else it would look stupid as hell. IMO get the gap guards, or make your own, if you dont have them you can see the space in between the body and the frame and it looks weird.

besides the gap guards, you could just go with the wheel well liners. Cost about the same price and look a lot better IMO. If you do go gap guards then just make your own. It's mostly just a mudflap cut into a rectangle and you could get that from any place that caters to 18wheelers.
I like my body lift, cost me a little over $300 shipped and I did it myself. The link Hammer posted has a post by me with some helpful revelations that I discovered while installing it. It can be done yourself and save several hundreds of dollars. Read the instructions from performance accessories for the 3" body lift and the thread from Hammer for my comments and see if you can tackle it.

I didn't have to extend anything except for my steering shaft and it came with that adapter. All of my brake lines just moved a little but it didn't stratch anything out. I went with a performance accessories kit.

If you decide to go the body lift route, and there is nothing wrong with going that way (I've had them on every truck I've ever had except my current one) don't even look at any other brand except PA. Just remember, a body lift does not level the truck, it lifts everything a uniform 3", so an inexpensive level kit may also be in order.
If you decide to go the suspension lift route, then the truck will also be leveled, so a level kit is not needed.
I trust you read my little "Lifting a Truck" write up, so you should be able to decide exactly what type of lift is best suited to your budget and your needs...

To top it off, I just got canned from the BS job I picked up last fall to stay close to the house! So I'll be hitting the savings just to pay bills in another month or so.
I've been waiting forever for the SCT tuner to come out and offer custom tunes so I can do the custom grind CAM I want, and now that it's here, I don't have the spendable cash to do it. It's thefinal mod I planned in almost two and a half years of modding, and I have to put it on hold.
So xfeejayx, my friend, you are not alone...

sorry to hear that Hammer. I hope your parents get better. I'm sure we agree that is more important.

I can't seem to figure out what you guys are talking about with the wheel wells. Wehre can I find those. Also, does anyone have a pic of a body lifted truck that does not have the guards to cover the gap between the body and the frame? I'd like to see how "bad" it looks.
