if you can post wether they will let you by just the joint by itself i would appreciate it

 

for the uppers u gotta buy the whole control arm...not sure about lowers tho

 

Upper ball joint comes with the control arm and the lower you can just get the ball joint, and i had the same problem with the squeeking and it was the sway bar link on my truck just changed that last weekend.

 

how can i tell if its the ball joints or just the sway bar link

 

My neighbor who is a ASC Master tech had me put my hand on the ball joint while he pushed my front bumper up and down to elisit the squeaking noise I was hearing, and I could definatley feel the noise vibrations coming from the ball joints, that and the fact that there was no grease to speak of in the ball joints gave the diagnosis some pretty good backing. goodluck

 

My 2004 did the same thing I replaced both lower ball joints make sure you rent the ball joint press from advance auto parts make life much easier. Took about 45 minutes each side. You can jack up one side at a time and get the tire off the ground and have someone put a pry bar under the tire and lift you can look under the truck and see the movement if any in the ball joint if it moves it is bad.

 

I confirmed it was the ball joints by dosing all four joints with white lithium grease the noise slowlely went away. Although this is probably a temporary fix it at least gets rid of the squeaky bed noise every time I go over a speed bump.

 

ya, mine does the same. I cranked my T bars today and the noise got worse. I'm gonna take it back in next week to the dealer for warranty and see what they come up with.

 

it just went away now so its not squeeking anymore
