Amazing what a simple google search can produce.... http://www.flowmastermufflers.com/mufflers.html

If you want loud, get the Super 44. "It is the most aggressive, deepest sounding, highest performing four inch case street muffler we’ve ever built!"

With Flowmaster, the lower the number, the louder it is. However, I've been told by someone in the know that Flowmaster has recently taken a lot of heat on the performance end. It's always been known that their chambered designgives upa lot of flow for that classic sound. The 44 is a new design that is supposed to dramatically increase flow (ie. performance), while still giving sound about half way between the 40 & 50 series. So if it were me, I'd give up a couple of dB's for better flow and get the 44's...

but i'm going to have to agree with nb. if you want loud, go borla. i just picked up a magnaflow, probably the best for performance, but you can't barely tell it's there at idle, and it's about as loud as it's going to get at about 2000.

I went from Stock to the 50s SUV Flowmaster, Now I have the 40s I can setoff car alarms just driving dovn the street with it. as far as the borla system I don't realy like the sound, Sorry guys.

The way i look at it It's your ride put on what you like & have the $$ for. If you can only get enough money for a glass pack then have at it...

Now if you really want loud, there ain't but one. Their motto says it all: "Disturbing the peace since 1968"!!! Had their glasspacks in my '73 Nova SS and it was LOUD!!!

i've been leaning heavily toward some cherry bomb glasspacks. cheap, loud, and very non-restrictive. how can i go wrong?
