Sounds like a badass truck you're going to get...I agree with Bucky on the patriot blue but i'm bias . Also if I was you i'd also get carpet and some weathertech mats...you won't get mud on the carpet unless you step on the center hump. If you decide to sell her later it'll be easier if you have carpet...most people don't like vinyl floors. Check these babies out..they protect everything and fit perfect http://www.weathertech.com/store/mvp...iceIds=119,647

Congrats on the new ride man. Slap up some pics when ya finally get her. And who cares what we had when we were young...i bet the ppl stabbing with "must be rough to have rich parents" etc would never have turned down a new vehicle at grad time and boasted about it themselves...

yeah i never had a car when i started college. drove a nice 67 cutlass supreme with the 330 and a 2speed powerglide in HS, but dad wouldn't let me take it to college[>:] then i bought a 80 something ford station wagon from my great aunt. it crapped out and my MIL loaned us a 80 caprice. then my wife and i were able to buy an 01 cavalier! came on hard times and lost her, broke my heart. got a 98 ford f 150 and then a windstar for the wife. oh and had an 89 f 150 before the 98. traded in the 98 f150 for my 2007 ram!!! of course this all played out over about seven years. point being, we all come by things differntly, none is better than the other really, as long as you truly appreciate what you have. i saw some of the payments in the other thread and phew i appreciate mine! if you are blessed the way this kid is then by all means, but just remember where it came from and be thankful, not prideful!

and congrats on your new ride, sounds sweet!

I'm going to Lamar University for a masters in engineering. They supposedly have the best engineering department in the state. Not quite sure what field I'm gonna specialize in yet, but civil engineering sounds pretty good because you can pretty much do anything with that under your belt. And if the Gulf Coast is fixing to boom like everyone says they'll be plenty of job opportunities available for me after college.

but I would have had to deal with 13 MPG,

too much to read but if nobody else said it, youll still be dealing with 13 mpg, maybe 15 tops... and yeah no sense in buying a 2wd truck, buy a car instead.... and please dont tell me youre thinking of lifting a 2wd truck, you might as well stuff you pants with a pair of socks lol...
