Default Problems with ebay CAI

i just installed the full cold air intake for my 08from ebay, you know the $80 one.I followed texbigb instructions and everything was except that i had to cut a new hole for the air sensor on the other side of the throttle body and i need to know whats the best way to patch up the original hole. Im thinking duct tape but it might get loose and sucked since the pipe gets pretty hot. Also i was driving today and when i came home, i realized my KN air filter had come off. Has anyone else had that problem and how do i fix it???

im sorry, i didnt know i was not clear. Here is the exact intake i bought- http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/07-DO...3756.m20.l1116
the intake off the throttle body came with a predrilled hole on the left side of the engine. My sensor was located on the right side and so i had to make a new hole in the chrome pipe for it to fit. i dont know whats the best way to close up the old hole and my filter new the wheel well came off.

ahh...i see. i thought you said you drilled ahoel in the tb..lol

k, are you sure you have the chrome pipes on there the right way? you could put them on in a number of different ways, and still have it work. even in the picture in that auction is shows the sensor on the right side.

anyways, since you already did it...maybe wrap another pipe clamp around it...with some rubber under it. or, if you don't wanna make it look too goofy, go to the hardware section (where there are drawers and drawers of fasteners and what not, and i'm positive you will find soem kind of cool rubber plug that fits right in there. maybe a a bolt with a rubber washer, and a rubber washer/nut on the inside? just take that section of pipe into home depot...and come up with something awesome...it'll cost ya like $2 whatever you do anyways.

well there was no way the sensor was going to reach the other side of the pipe-i already tried a lot of ways.I guess ill go to home depot and see what i can do. What about my filter problem? I tightened the clamp pretty good and it still fell off.

Cut you'er self out a pacth from a coke can thats bigger than the hole attach the pacth with some JB weld tape the patch on where you want it to stay with some masking tape let it sit overnight next day remove the tape then you should be good to go.

Dont use to much JB weld so it not to messy when the stuff still wet try to wipe the extra stuff that ozose out off before it gets hard.
