Anyone take the plastic liner out of their center console? I have a lock box I'd like to put in there but I'd like to remove the liner to see if there is something more stable than plastic under it to mount it to.

 

theres steel under there, but not much room at all (the lock box should fit in the plastic or be designed to replace it), i also believe there's a control module of some sort under there as well

Also, the seat latch is integrated into that plastic liner, so if you pull that, it will not latch properly
