New Truck New Stereo System

RE: New Truck New Stereo System
thanks man....like I said earlier in the thread, sound quality is prority #1 for me. I agree with you too, the box makes all of the difference in the sound. Joe Fox makes a quality product, and the box has more airspace than most of the underseat boxes that I have seen (and are deeper, allowing for subs with larger magnets). That is why they are so popular on this and other forums. Joe owns a ram, and made the proto for these boxes for his truck.
I upgraded to this truck (from my 03 Dak) so that I could have 4 doors and reasonable back seats, and using that space for a box kinda defeats the purpose.

i'll look then and pm u later.
to the OP. my best recommendation is to go to a good audio store and listen to some subs and learn what "truly loud" is to you. to me loud is 2 15" subs running in a huge ported box and pushign about 4k watts rms. loud to others is a single 12 in a sealed box running on 500 watts. It's all conceptualized by whoever is listening. my jeep that had a single 12w3 was perfect for me and not crazy loud but sounded great. to others it was loud enough that they wanted to not ride in the vehicle. it's all perception. your loud may be two tens under the seats. mine isn't but you arn't me.

I also have a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I'm running 2 Rcokford T2 12's (power series) and 2 T-1000 bd amps. That hits real hard everywhere on the volume dial. I have a Pioneer head unit controlling it all and pioneed speakers in all 4 doors. Also 2 kicker tweeters in the dash.

you can always build a box that replaces your center front seat.. you could get some good air space out of it. most good 12" subs need around 1.25 cubic ft of air space. im drawing plans out to do that to mine. i made a box that would fit under the rear seat and put 2 shallow mount subs in it and it sounded like ****. good luck
