I am selling my truck to get a Cadillac CTS. I was wondering what you guys think I can get for it. It is a 2002 Ram 1500 2wd regular cab short box, 3.7 V6. Has a flowmaster 40 series with an intake. Pioneer cd player, no power lock or windows, Cooper Discoverer ST tires 275/70/17. And 97,000 miles. I was thinking $7500 or best offer and expect $6600 to $7000. What you guys think?

Yea ive heard even some dealerships are trying to avoid taking in older rams on trade. The market is flooded with em and new ones arent selling worth a hill of beans. Best of luck to you on it tho, sooner or later someone will end up taking your truck im sure.

Depending on where you live (Florida here) running trucks are always worth something. I just sold my 1990 Dakota (lol) with 110k miles for $2500. Dealership offered me $500 trade in for it and said that was even too much for it. People around here, mostly Illegal's, are always looking for a little beater work truck. Only thing really wrong with the Dakota was the paint and bunches of dents. My friend owns a little body shop and I just had her park it there with a for sale sign on it. Took awhile but someone bought it, just takes a little patience if your not totally strapped for cash.

yea dont want to wait, if you know what I mean. Im tooo excited for the caddy. Im in Michigan and the market sucks, as well as this one state recession michigan is in sucks ***. I have a motorcycle that Im selling also and the dealership might take both of them and I will make up the couple grand difference. So we will see what happens.

if you dont mind me asking why sell it? I just went throught this same thing thought with my old truck. I traded in my 01 chevy silverado 1500 for my new 08 ram. The dealer gave me 4,000 for it. KBB for it was 5,000. Dealer had also mentioned that trucks these days are selling at a very slow rate due to fuel cost. So good luck
