Even if you find a truck that gets 18 mpg, it would take forever to make up the thousands it would cost you to trade in your truck and purchase it.
Keep the truck and pick up a $3000-$4000 econo box for daily driving plus it'll save a couplethousand miles a year off the truck's odometer.
Since I was in my teens, I've almost always had some kinda daily driver and a 4wd truck. Sometimes it was just a motorcycle, sometimes a little 4 banger, now it's my Jeep Grand Cherokee (but if I knew gas was gonna hit $4 a gallon I would have kept the little crappy Hyundai I sold to buy the GC[:@])...
The first year I had my current truck, I had just gotten divorced, so I only had the truck. I put 18k on it, then I boughtan '01 Hyundai with 38k on it for $2800. My truck will be 4 years old in two weeks and I just hit 40k, meaning my owning a daily driver cut the miles I run the truck a year from 18k to just over 7k. At 36 mpg's vs. 13 mpg's, you do the math. My current DD(Grand Cherokee) gets about 21 mpg so, although not nearly as dramatic, it still saves me what it costs to insure it, but even without the gas savings, for what I have put in the truck (mod investment wise), it's worth it just to not run the truck those extra 11k miles every year...

I wouldn't trade your truck in, you'll lose your butt on everything that you have in it. I would go and buy yourself a set of new rims and tires. Keep the AT set for whenever you want to go offroading. 20 minutes to change the tires out and your gas mileage will improve. Remember also, you have been running on winter blend gas which is not as good. You should be getting better gas mileage as the stations will not have this anymore.
On another note, I agree with the above comments about getting a second vehicle for your running around. You can pick up a good cheap car for under $5k for this.

+1 on the beater, and +1 on the extra set of tires. 10 mpg is terrible. I get right about 15.7 with 50/50 city highway. you change those tires back to stock and you gotta get at least 14, even with your lift.
Don't sale the truck I had A 3/4 ton 4X4 ford that gotten 10 MPG also I trade in for my Dodge 1500 with the 3.7 Man I am sorry I did it I have payments longer now like the truck just under powered hate that part and the gain in MPG was not worth trade in for I did mine when gas hit $3.50 a gallon a couple of summers ago it was a mistake.
