08 1500 rediculously loud steering pump or belt
4500 miles and according to the dealership its a bad steering pump
When the wheel is turned, depending on the amount of gas applied whines louder and louder, along with vibration in steering wheel.
This the most disgusting sound on a virgin truck, honestly it makes me want to get rid of this pos.
Plus the dealership is 35 miles away, and I have to drive back when the part comes in.

Sory to hear it.
It happens sometime brother.Sometime you get a defective part from the factory.
At least it's covered so except for the inconvenience of having to go back,you should be GTG.

Was it leaking? The rubber hose that attaches to the bottom of the pump is a known leaker. Just a little bit of fluid out of the pump will result in early failure.
