i was looking on ebay at sport bumper covers and theyre cheaper than i thought. however i do remember hearing that the sport and SRT wont fit on the slt because the brackets dont match or something. can someone help

Mine is a sport bumper and I drive an SLT.

 

wow. i just realized that. you have paint matched rear bumper and a sport front bumper....yet it says SLT on your tailgate..im confused now lol

I don't believe the sport bumper cover will fit a non-sport bumper.#1 on the LMC Truck page above is the chrome bumper and #2 is the reinforcementto mountthe sport bumper cover.

I'm not sure, butif you got the reinforcment piece and replaced the bumper with it then you might be able to use the sport bumper cover. I'm to new to 3rd gen to know whether there will be grill/headlight fitment issues. Someone will have to chime in if there is.

EDIT: I believe on the 2nd gen you would have required the reinforcement, a couple of brackets and a new grill. I don't see any extra brackets or the call for sport/non-sport grills in the LMC catalog for the 3rd gen, butyou get the idea.

If memory serves, a sport bumper fits an SLT, but you need to buy the support beam/bracket that goes underneath the sport bumper. An alternative would be to paint the chrome portion of your stock bumper to match the truck...
