No chip, tuner!

Last I had a good look at some real dyno's was a couple of months ago. Of all the "canned tune" tuners, Superchips Flashpaq had the best gains and most features. Bully Dog wasn't bad, followed by the Edgeand the Pro Comp.
For total performance, what I'm seeing out of the SCT is heads above anything out there, but with it's "custom tuning" capabilities and it's considerably higher price tag, it's more suited for heavily modded trucks.
I currently have the Superchips Flashpaq on my '04 and am quite satisfied. However, I plan on selling it in favor of an SCT in the not too distant future. I'm pretty much at a point where my mods have outgrown it and plan to do a cam upgrade soon that will necessitate the SCT and a custom tune...

I'd wait for a predator...it will be the best handheld on the market when it launches. Diablosport finally has it up on their home page...it's part number U7137 for 2003-2008 Hemi Rams. http://diablosport.com/

I had the custom tuned SCT on my 6.0L superduty. I highly recommend the SCT. If they can work out the MDS shifting in and out problem, the SCT will be the one I go with.

F**K Diablo, I was all set to go that way almost 18 months ago until they started blowing up LX Hemi's left and right. Many, many blown engines documented on LX (Hemi Car) forums. Then after they knew the launch was gonna be delayed at least a year, they kept taking advance order money right up to & including the scheduled release date. As if that's not bad enough, on the scheduled release date, sales reps were saying that orders were shipping as they spoke and took money in. THAT WAS JUNE OF '07, and as of today, still no product. Sorry, I jumped ship long ago.
When I do my next mod and go beyond what the Flashpaq can do for me, necessitating a custom tune, I'll trust SCT with my money, if it was between Diablo and not getting the custom tune I need, I'd rather stop moddin' where I'm at than trust Diablo with a single dollar of my money.

superchip if your going to stay somewhat stock, SCT if your going to do some engine mods....diablo is a joke. I see there programmer coming out when the kenne bell supercharger comes out; for those that dont know the KB supercharger was "soon" coming out back in early 04 if my memory is correct..diable was "soon" coming out last year this time

hammer, what type of mpg gains did you see with the superchips?

has anyone tried the hypertech max energy?

I'm in the same boat as hemiKIDD, but I want more mpg, not necessarily a faster truck (though i'd take it if i got it).

A lot of people report a nice little boost in fuel economy, especially (believe it or not) with the Performance Tune and running 93 octane. I didn't, because I couldn't (and still can't) stay of the damn gas.
