Default How much lift?

I have a 2004 Reg Cab 1500 4x4. I am working on getting some things settled and when they do I want to lift it and put at least some 38" tires, possibly 44" tires,on it with some 20" XD Revolvers. My question is: How much lift would I need to clear 38" tires, or 44" boggers? Are there any 12" suspension lifts out there for this truck? Also, what gears would be best for each tire? And, was also thinking of putting a supercharger on it, just a thought but have not made my mind up on this yet, but would like to know the options for that as well...? My last 2 trucks were F-150s and I know all about what are available for them, but this truck is fairly new to me. I know of the added stress on the IFS and crap, soI do not wanna lecture on that, please. It will become mainly a show truck, and only to run around on Friday and Saturday nightsafter I do all of this. Thanks in advance for all of the help. [sm=icon_cheers.gif]

I don't think your gonna find anything over 6" of suspension for an IFS front end, add 3" of body and you'd be at 9". Anything over that is gonna be custom fabrication, can be done, but will probably cost you as much as trading in on a 3/4 ton or putting a live axle on your truck. I've actually seen 2wd supspension lifts higher than IFS 4x4 lifts. For a really high lift and monster tires, you'd need a solid axle.

Sounds like a great idea with the price of fuel and all.

If money is not a problem whiplash has a kit that includes a solid axle swap with about 10" of lift that would be plenty but the cost is roughly $6000 installed!! I have an 02 rcsb and thought about doing that but its a little more money than I wanted to choke up!!!
