if they use a lot of road salt where you live, you are better off getting aluminum or stainless steel. Had black anodized nerf bars and tried like crazy to keep them from rusting; hit them with a couple coats of clear coat before putting them on and would hit them with rustoleum black each spring to cover the rust spots. Not a bad product, but salt and sand would blast them and scrape through the finish. Got stainless steel on my next truck and have been very happy with it.
