Default Nerf Bars - "chrome" or "black" ?

Hey. We have a silver quad cab 2500 truck. I am looking at getting nerf bars for it. My mom has a hard time getting up in it. LOL We have the black "door protectors" on it. They go horizontal to the floor. I can't decided what color to get. We do have the "crome" wheels. Any suggestions or pictures?

I did a search on it, and noticed that you guys like Laverne, Nasta, and Westin. Have you had any problems with those?

Thanks for all your help!!

Can't really comment on the color (color blind after all ), but I highly recommend the Westin Pro series. I read others like them on here and I got a set for mine and absolutley love them. They look great and don't budge even when jumping up and down on them. Installation was only about 1/2hr too.

I've got brushed aluminum bars on my '97. I like the look a lot. Don't know what brand they are. I know it's a different body style, but here's a pic just for reference-

Here's a couple different view of mine. These might be MOPAR - they were on the truck when I bought it at the dealer.

I have the chrome Westin's and like them alot. Personally, I think the black is OK if you have a black truck and want the entire black look, but other than that I like the look of the chrome myself.

I think the trend is towards the black ones.
They seem to blend in and not attract attention.
Either way you will like them.

I have chrome Westin nerf bars.

I really like them but they do get dirty pretty easy.
I also feel that they would be nice to have if someone runs a red light and hits a door.
