chery bomb extreme
Yea, Cherrybomb Vortex muffler is their hi-end muffler. It has a strong (very low throaty bass) refined sound. The Extreme is teathy gritty and loud (very non refined). The Vortex doesnt drone much at all inside the truck. I am a Harley-Davidson guy and the Vortex appeals to me in a big way.
see thats what i want. a throaty, deep, low tone that sounds nice. but at the same time pretty loud. from what ive seen on the videos, the extreme seems a bit too high pitched.
To me, the Glass Packs & Extreme sound like the big V8 muscle cars we used to go to the track to see. The Vortex sounds like what a big, ugly 4x4 pick up should sound like...
im leaning toward the vortex. from what i see or hear...the extreme is louder, but i dont like the sound. the vortex seems to be louder than my 40 series flowmaster, and i like the sound from the vortex much better than the extreme
Forgive the newbie in me, but am I to understand I can add the Cherry Bomb Vortex to my stock exhaust and expect that kind of sound? If so, where's the best place to purchase it?

Any exhaust shop would be able to get Cherry Bombs. They may try to steer you towards a muffler they stock, or make better profit on, but they can get them easy. Every distributor is gonna carry 'em, it's a major brand.
I am also partial to Vortex Muffler's.I stock many performance mufflers at my shop including Flowmaster and Vortex, and really like the sound form the Vortex better. It's even a heavier duty muffler constuction.
It does have a louder sound than the Flow, but thats the point isn't it? The interior noise is not an issue either. It really isn't too loud inside the vehicle.
I make the same on either soit makesno difference which one my customers want, but I recommend them over Flow's.
Also,I had a flow one on my Iroc and replaced it with a Vortex and loved it.It doesn't have the popping that Flow's have after reving it.
