Default RE: chery bomb extreme is louder. Its the loudest "muffler" out.

ORIGINAL: MEINEKEMAN1

I am also partial to Vortex Muffler's.I stock many performance mufflers at my shop including Flowmaster and Vortex, and really like the sound form the Vortex better. It's even a heavier duty muffler constuction.

It does have a louder sound than the Flow, but thats the point isn't it? The interior noise is not an issue either. It really isn't too loud inside the vehicle.

I make the same on either soit makesno difference which one my customers want, but I recommend them over Flow's.

Also,I had a flow one on my Iroc and replaced it with a Vortex and loved it.It doesn't have the popping that Flow's have after reving it.
hey i have a question about the shop since u own it or something, how much u would charge us for muffler swap ( catback ) and it will be dual out?

just a quote.

First off I want to say I'm new to this forum, but I have learned alot since joining. I joined a while back because I needed to get the opinion from fellow Dodge Ram owners on different issues. I did nothing but read topics and learn from them. Now I guess I can put my own 2 cents in. I own a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab with the 5.9 engine. My old exhaust that I had put on about 4 years ago finally rusted thru. I had cat back with duals and Flowmaster 40 series. I decided upon reading everyones post on here that I would try the new Cherrybomb extreme. I had it installed today at Meineke also with a Magnaflow Cat. I couldn't be any happier than I am right now. Just picked it up and drove it home. All I can say is WOW ! Now don't get me wrong I liked the way my flowmasters sounded, but it is like night and day. The cherrybomb extreme just plain blows the flowmasters away. There is no comparison. So I wish to thank everyone who has posted on here that the cherrybomb extreme was the way to go. Now I will be disturbing the peace in my Neighborhood.

CherryBombs sound great but they have a problem with rusting because of the material they are made of. If you want loud you can always just have your exhaust run as a straight-pipe setup. Loud as hell, and saves you money on buying a muffler because there isn't one!

Either way, post a vid afterwards, I wanna hear it one way or the other.

Not everybody can run straitpipes though because of emissions.

I have always been partial to the sound that Magnflows put out. I don't like the Cherry bomb extreme, Sound to much like your trying to make noise, When to me the goal has always make it sound like a Healthy Growl of a REAL truck. I do kinda like the vortex that I have heard.

With all that said mind you most the mufflers I have heard have been off the internet with my laptop.
